Marija Kamceva, M.D.
Hello! I am Dr. Marija Kamceva, a psychiatrist and therapist who sees adults and couples in Cambridge, MA. I am a part-time lecturer at Harvard Medical School and a Staff Psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital, where I work in the emergency room and at an infectious diseases clinic.
I received my undergraduate degree at Yale College and my medical degree at Stanford Medical School. I completed my training at the Harvard-affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and McLean Hospital Adult Psychiatry Residency Program, where I served as Outpatient Clinic Chief Resident and was awarded the Anne Alonso Award for Psychotherapy.
I am pursuing additional training at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (BPSI); and have completed training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with the Behavioral Tech Institute and Two Brattle Clinic in Cambridge, MA; and in Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) with the McLean MBT Clinic.
I strive to create a warm environment for self-exploration, in order to help you live a more enriched and meaningful life. I have a particular passion for working with folks navigating life transitions, depression, trauma, anxiety and issues around identity, immigration and gender and sexuality.
I offer flexible scheduling both in-person at my office in Cambridge MA, and via virtual sessions. To request a consultation, use the contact form; email mk@kamcevamd.com; or confidentially call at (617) 286-6815.
